But I am saying my neighbor is an AR-15 cultist like you, has more money than me by a mile, and has multiple Daniel Defense AR-15 platform setups, complete with sights, grips, lasers you name it. Went to my normal range with him the first time and he brought one of his better setups. I asked him if it was sighted in, and he assured me it was finely tuned to the best of his ability

Now mind you, he claims he goes to the range every week, and has memberships at three local ranges

I set a target up at 25yds and started ripping off rounds

After a 30rd mag I realized his 'finely tuned' sighting in was about a foot and a half high and six inches left, at 25 fucking yards

The existence of this man, and his shared belief with you that AR-15 is better for home defense is empirical proof that you are wrong. Shotguns are superior for home defense. My 12g is staying right where it is, in reach of where I sleep

Nuclear power contributes minimally to climate change (far less then solar and comparable to wind), and also reduces dependence on energy sources that do. If Germany had kept their nuclear power plants, they could've had all of the air conditioning they want.

Unfortunately, they elected politicians who get everything they think they know about nuclear power from The Simpsons, so they abolished nuclear power. Then when wind and solar failed to live up to their promises, they became dependent on Russian gas. But that became politically untenable when Russia invaded Ukraine, so now they're tearing up their countryside for coal and blaming climate change on air conditioning.

They could have had both clean, cheap energy, and air conditioning, but they threw it all away for the sake of performative environmentalism that ended up making things worse for both the environment and the people.
