Blessed to announce my commitment to the next chapter. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and pushed me to get here. The work doesn’t stop. AGTG 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@Heidel_bro1563 @RoseNotNylund You might not have listened to enough Paul Washer. I have no idea whether or not you have, but be cautious slamming brothers IF you have only heard 3:00 clips of him.
@RockyMitchell6@rootcausesleuth Amen. However, I do not believe that your system supports that God “makes a sinner alive in Christ.”
That is my position, but you believe God gives the sinner life to come to Christ, who is the life Himself.
@genxbaptist@osasisHERESY If by eternal security you mean born again believers persevere, fine. But if you mean a profession w/ no transformation guarantees eternal life, you’re in error. No one living in willful sin has any grounds for present assurance just because they once made a profession of faith.
@faithgracesaved@RockyMitchell6 The prayer itself certainly doesn't save. We cannot produce within ourselves a pure and seeking heart. Apart from God enlightening and drawing a sinner to Himself, no sinner would ever seek after God because none could ever feel their sinfulness or need for a Savior.
@AronThoughts@jennmint@markdbaze@ZachWLambert Because Jesus's ministry was specifically to the lost sheep of Israel and they didn't have this problem, it was blatantly obvious to them that homosexuality was forbidden. Paul however did have to take that message and beat that drum to the gentiles
@AronThoughts@jennmint@markdbaze@ZachWLambert If you loved Jesus, you would submit to Him as Lord. “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). Jesus would call the homosexual out of their sinful lifestyle and tell them to follow Him, just as Paul did…
@AronThoughts@markdbaze@ZachWLambert Actually, telling your neighbor truth instead of misleading them is the most loving thing you can do. I'd rather my neighbor repent and believe then breathe their last living a life hostile to God.
BREAKING.🚨
ABC News whistleblower swears under penalty of perjury that the Kamala Harris campaign dictated the terms of the questions during the presidential debate.
Furthermore, the Harris campaign insisted upon live "fact checking" of Donald Trump during the debate.
ABC News "fact checked" Trump at least five times and did not fact check Harris once, despite the Democratic candidate telling provable lies, such as the "fine people hoax" and the blo*dbath hoax."
The whistleblower signed the affidavit in New York and has sent a copy to Speaker Mike Johnson, the notarized document states.
The unnamed individual states that he or she is in possession of secret recordings that will prove that ABC News rigged the presidential debate.
ABC News committed election interference. This is a MASSIVE scandal.
@immrbloo@DPGBehler So you're saying man has faith, not saving faith but faith, on his own? I thought man wanted nothing to do with God apart from God doing a work in them?
@RandyKnie “For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:4)
@_jonbowlin@wichman_matthew Okay. Next time I see “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” I'll remember that it is only talking about a few people.
Jesus didn't explicitly say anything about homosexuality for a good reason. Let's not kid ourselves about it.
The Jewish contexts he was in were in widespread agreement that it was sinful to engage in same-sex sexual practices. The Old Testament clearly calls it out as such. No right-minded person can take Jesus not speaking to the topic of homosexuality as room for approval any more than they can take Jesus not speaking about bestiality as approval.
Now, when the gospel went from the Jewish world into the Gentile world it entered a new context. No longer were they preaching to communities who all agreed that homosexuality was a sin. No longer were they talking to people who were tied to the Old Testament and it's moral compass. That's why Paul spoke very specifically to the topic in Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 9. When the gospel went to people who had a problem with same-sex sin, the gospel rebuked that sin.
Those who imply that Jesus didn't have an opinion on the topic, or avoided it (usually as an excuse for their own cowardice on the topic, to be honest) are making a harmful mistake.
When is it ok to ignore certain sins? When the culture around you is so loudly against them that you don't need to bother waking people's consciences on the topic. That is obviously not the case with same-sex sin in our culture.
@BishopJaxi “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” -Romans 12:1
@CriticalBassTh@jchasedavis You can keep telling yourself that and work against scripture.
Do whatever you want to try to get around the truth, but we should show love to the sexually immoral by pointing them to the Christ. We shouldn't affirm it and pat them on the back.
@CriticalBassTh@jchasedavis “Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
