@Alondra_C15@KernCMC@Mathgarden I agree with students feeling all these different emotions during math which makes them not want to try and participate. We as teachers have to make sure our students understand that it is okay to make mistakes.
@KernCMC@Mathgarden We should always try to connect our curriculum with the lives and stories of our students so that they are able to find purpose in what they are learning and be able to make the connection to their lives.

@Jessica53868217@KernCMC@Mathgarden I agree. All students learn at different rates, therefore should not be expected to be on the same level at the same time. Every student is there own person and as long as they are doing THEIR best then that should be sufficient.
@KernCMC@Mathgarden As educators we are taught to differentiate instruction, therefore why are standardized tests only testing students through one form which is a multiple choice test that is known to mislead students and have a deceiving set of answer choices. #EDEL5200
@KernCMC@Mathgarden The purpose of education and schooling should be to create well-rounded human beings that are able to think critically, treat others kindly, and find what makes them happy while learning along the way. Standardized test should be removed. #EDEL5200
@HangingwithMrJ@KernCMC@WrightMath314@Mathgarden I love the idea of using portfolio's where the students can still demonstrate their understanding without the stress of having a traditional test.
@KernCMC@Mathgarden Some alternatives we can use to replace traditional grades are having the students do group projects or even informative assessments that lower anxiety and teachers are still able to check for understanding #EDEL5200
@KernCMC@Mathgarden We can "wake up" the true love for mathematics within our students by doing math activities that promote learning while having fun. When kids do not know they are learning because they're having so much fun is the best way to teach math. #EDEL5200
@KernCMC@Mathgarden As educators we can engage our students in productive struggle by asking higher order thinking questions that make them have to think and discuss with their classmates. We may also provide enough scaffolding to make their struggle productive and guide them along the way #EDEL5200
@Marley47005409@teachsci8 Hello Marely I Agee that teachers should have a good balance between fun on games and objectives when it comes to technology. @JediTeacher08 #csubedte4200#csubted
@magana_dc@teachsci8 @JediTeacher08 Hello Karmen I totally agree with you. Teachers' need to have clear objectives of what should be learned in the lesson and classroom. @JediTeacher08 #csubedte4200#csubted
@teachsci8 A4: As educators we can promote students learning through technology by having assessments online and the student can take them right after they have learned the material @JediTeacher08 #csubted#csubedte4200
@BiancaArvizu2@Ststansberry@teachsci8 Hello Bianca there are definitely many ways to communicate with colleagues and even globally with today's technology
@Rebekah_Barnes6 @Ststansberry@teachsci8 R1: Hello Rebekah I agree with you on how society has become such an integral part of society and how it is the most common way to communicate nowadays.
@Ststansberry A3: Technology can facilitate collaboration through many ways and so many programs now that are basically social media sites that you can make with all off your colleagues or parents of students that can provide an easy, open communication. @JediTeacher08 #csubted#csubedte4200
@Rebekah_Barnes6 @tom_karnes@teachsci8 Hello Rebekah that would be a great idea and even definitely make the kids so much more excited about going! (Not that it isn't exciting enough already)
@Elizabe61077927@tom_karnes@teachsci8 R1: Hello Elizebeth that sounds like a great idea and that would have been awesome to learn how to do a powerpoint at that age.
@tom_karnes A2: My favorite project in school was definitely building a mission in a shoe box. I remember it being super fun and it did not involve a technological component. Technology can update it by using the internet to look up ideas @JediTeacher08 #csubted#csubetde4200
