THE STOCK FAMILY STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF DJ WARRAS
With indescribable heartbreak, deep sorrow, and overwhelming shock, the Stock family, together with the rest of South Africa, learned yesterday of the tragic and untimely passing of their beloved Warrick โWarrasโ Stock.
Warrick, a respected South African media personality, activist, and businessman was brutally murdered on the morning of Tuesday, 16 December 2025, in downtown Johannesburg.
The senseless nature of his passing has left his family devastated, broken, and struggling to imagine a world without him.
A devoted son, a loving and proud father, a cherished brother, and uncle Warrick (40) was the heart and anchor of his family.
Affectionately known as DJ Warras, also known as โThe Shady Lurkerโ, he brought light, laughter, and strength into every space he occupied.
His influence and kindness extended far beyond his home, and he was deeply loved by his friends, colleagues, and the wider South African entertainment community.
Warrick leaves behind his three young children, his mother, and his siblings, whose lives have been irrevocably changed by this profound loss.
As the family begins the painful journey of mourning, they humbly ask for privacy, compassion, and understanding during this unimaginably difficult time.
They also respectfully request that the South African Police Service be given the space and support needed to thoroughly investigate this tragic crime, so that justice may be served.
At this time, the family is not in a position to appoint a spokesperson.
They kindly ask that they be kept in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this deep and painful loss.
The Stock family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, messages of support, and condolences received since the news of Warrickโs passing was made public.
Your kindness, compassion, and solidarity have brought moments of comfort during an incredibly dark time.
Details regarding memorial and funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.
With love, gratitude, and broken hearts,
-The Stock family.
Success is a full team effort - on and off the field. It takes a tight and tough group to be successful and this video is evidence of exactly that! Lekka ๐ฟ๐ฆ
Massive fan of Irish rugby
I watch & write about it all the time
But the Boks were a different level yesterday
Boks have the best forwards I've ever seen & loads of them
They've got shithot forwards (most of whom stroll into other tier 1 squads) sitting at home on the sofa

The World Rugby Men's Player of the Year is Malcolm Marx! ๐ฟ๐ฆ
The Springboks hooker is the first front rower to win the award since Keith Wood in 2001. ๐
Thereโs nothing more important than knowing your strengths and weaknesses and being able to use your strengths to overcome your weaknesses. The Springboks have been doing exactly that for the last 10 years, winning two Rugby World Cups and comfortably establishing themselves as the best team in the world right now. Youโve got to admire them.
I even saw Damian Willemse in tears, unable to bear watching the final 10 minutes of the game. Thatโs the kind of spirit a nation needs. And this is coming from an All Blacks fan who loves the banter but I canโt deny that I truly admire this Springboks team. Well played Bokke ๐

A tactical masterclass from this guy in his 50th match as Springboks coach and to top it off, he even announced the France lineup before France did. Levels
