@Magical__Hacker Ages back when still streaming, I ended up streaming one early Christmas morning and playing a freshly brewed Saskia deck. Nothing all that notable about the list, but I was prompting my games and offering my opponents Season's Beatings.
@Magical__Hacker 16 out of 34 commander decks would be legal.
1-1996
1-2006
3-2007
1-2008

9 of those originating in packs.
First deck probably built in 2008 around Shards of Alara block.
@Scrumpetbleats Heh, mine had like M:TG, ARK, Retro... then like Jet Force Gemini and then Elden Ring... I'm pretty sure my JFG watching was a single streamer wrapping up the collectathon and learning the waves of assault on the final boss. XD
@Magical__Hacker Been recoding game vibe, but that's still so subjective, deck performance without taking into account if deck was OP or rolled in a power mismatch. And if I like a deck, but it wins resoundingly, I'll not go back to it for a while. XD
I've only 3 months of stats, far too small.
@Magical__Hacker That said, adding lifegain usually comes into play if it's a result of the deck itself chewing its own life. For instance, Syr Gwyn reaching points where I can't attack with an equipped creature because I'll off myself.
@Magical__Hacker Now that I've been logging my games played...been logging since August and it's only a touch over 100 games and only a handful of decks have been played even 10 times. A couple of those just decks I'm struggling with.
@homelesspolster@NeoNails45 A "petty act" to prevent InfoWars from backdoor dealing itself right back into Alex Jones' hand sounds a lot more practical than petty to me.
@Kesswylie I want to say Lurrus as the Commander.
*takes a moment to shake a fist at hybrid mana costs and color identity*
Of all the things, maybe, just maybe we can finally get this fixed in the new Commander Panel structure.
@r_bow1993@coL_Amazonian@SaffronOlive Technically savvy users is a way to describe a fair swath of the M:TG community. This current configuration feels downright laughable. -.-
@golgariguy@djaronunchained Heh. Playing Sevinne yesterday. Hard to casually attack me. And I had removal for bigger threats. Meanwhile the vamp sac deck was doing things. Mono white player Tef Pro'd to win when I took out the other two players with a copied Crackle With Power for 40 damage total to each.๐
@djaronunchained@golgariguy Further in the social aspect, we don't always save resources to fight the person who's behind. And also fighting cards and ramp is harder. We don't do as much hand disruption and counter spells at lower brackets. Making it harder to interact with the person with few permanents.
@rule0podcast@Magical__Hacker It's not murmers of where's my product spread months downwind, but now.. the wait, the issues, the empty carts all compressed in a single immediate day of rage. >.<
@rule0podcast@Magical__Hacker Somewhere between having the window to order be like a month and having some things like the decks be 6-months to a year later there was a bunch of fulfillment issues. Change was needed, but current system feels punishing in many ways, as opposed to slow burn around delays.
