Why has no one used Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' as a recycling message before?
Love this from @recycle4Dorset
Sensational artwork from @mistermunroltd
You can recycle all types of food and drinks cans and aerosol cans in your recycling bin.
There’s no need to remove any labels but please make sure they’re empty and (if possible) rinsed out.
Here’s more details about what happens to your recycling: https://t.co/aPPW52imo4
So less than 24 hours after discovering @unitedutilities spent up to 70 days illegally dumping sewage into lake Windermere the company announces it is paying shareholders a dividend bigger than the company profits
And @Ofwat does what exactly?

I'm of the view that this piece from James Hansen and 17 others last week is one of the most important published on the state of the climate crisis in years. A 🧵
"Is it time the Environment Agency stopped trusting potential polluters to own up?"
Should never have happened in the first place. Yet another board that will persuade themselves they were doing the best the could thereby hiding incompetence and failure.

The Prime Minister blaming Junior doctors for hospital waiting lists is one of the most despicable things he’s said
& for the record he’s offered them a crappy real terms pay cut
If like me you stand with the junior doctors who sacrificed so much to keep us safe RT this widely
The 3 rules of public place recycling:
1. Simple, specific, eye-level signage
2. Recycling bins always paired with rubbish bins
3. Shape sorting and colour coding
Public place #recycling NEVER works...
Except when it does.
These bins were at a local mini-music festival this weekend and the recycling was immaculate!
DAY 5! ☕ Possibly the most popular small step
Hands up ✋ if choosing a reusable cup is your small step this July?
#SmallStepsBigDifference#PlasticFreeJuly

Will you take on the challenge this #PlasticFreeJuly?
You can start with one change:
🍎Buying loose fruit and vegetables,
☕Using a keep-cup,
🎒Taking a bag with you instead of new ones.
Every decision helps.

From childhood, we are sold the notion that success is synonymous with the accumulation of wealth. For example, in the music industry, a “successful” artist will often be expected to focus on work that accumulates money for themselves or their manager/ label / publisher / agent. For me, artistic success comes from creating something you’re proud of, helping out or collaborating with other artists, discovering something beautiful or bringing happiness to others through your art. We all need to make a living but that is not my measure of achievement. On a larger scale, I see the NHS as something to be proud of as, unlike in America, for example, it prioritises healthcare before making money for private ownership. Economists who believe in capitalism see profit maximisation as the biggest motivator for a successful society. For me, a successful society is about placing personal fulfilment and compassion for others above everything. Imagine if the world worked that way. I hope that’s how our next government thinks.
Here are the big takeaways from the @IPCC_CH Synthesis Report released today.
First, climate change has already caused widespread and substantial losses to almost every aspect of human life on this planet, and the impacts on future generations depend on the choices we make NOW.
Renewable energy critics love to point out that it takes 255 tons of coal to build a wind turbine.
But it would take a coal-fired power plant 154,494 tons of coal to generate as much electricity as a wind turbine produces over its entire life.

For me, these are some of the most exciting stories of rewilding in Britain in 2022.
Britain ranks among the most nature-depleted countries in the world. We’ve lost so much.
That’s why the rewilding movement is so vital. If we can rewild in Britain, we can rewild anywhere. /1
