The biggest lottery jackpot ever won was ~$2B, drawn just from the US, where about 50% of adults buy at least one lottery ticket per year.

Lotteries have historically been capped regionally. @megapot is building an internet-scale lottery, where you can also be the house. There's a powerful flywheel here: more players, more LP yield, more capital backing the pool, and bigger jackpots, which attract more players.

To give you an idea of how demand scales here, Powerball ticket sales roughly doubled between the $1B and $1.7B drawings, and grew ~12x from start to finish in the Dec 2025 run. Think about what's possible when the pool isn't so geographically constrained.
