This week, as well as a fantastic trip to the zoo, Year 2 have been learning outside, telling the time using chalk and sticks, making beautiful leaf stacks and learning about the 4 layers of the rainforest, making their own rainforest to cement their new knowledge.
Year 2 have been using pictures and artefacts to learn about life in both rural and urban Kenya. We also listened to some traditional Kenyan music to immerse ourselves further into the African culture.
A great morning for some of Year 4 this morning with a visit from The Dogs Trust talking us through how to interact safely with dogs. We became doggy detectives and solved the mystery! The rest of Year 3, 4 and 5 are looking forward to their visits this week.
The children in Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon show casing their Egyptian learning from this term. Thank you to all parents that came to share their children's learning.

A fantastic cooking challenge with Darren from Roots to Food for STEM week. The green team cooked tandoori salmon, tumeric rice & saag aloo & the red team made twice-cooked parmesan chicken, spring onion pasta & a chunky saucy salad. Look out for the recipes to cook at home.
