A very happy #CanadaDay to all Canadians across our great country. We are proud to be strong, free & united. #Ontario #police officers & personnel are proud to serve all our communities.
Thank you to police, 1st responders, medical professionals, members of @CanadianForces & so many others for keeping us safe today & everyday!
Congratulations Gary. Well deserved! Veteran London police detective honoured for community service https://t.co/xBxxmxI5HT via @lfpress@BezaireGary@LdnPoliceAssoc
Policing has long been a male-dominated profession, but that is changing - because of the incredible women who step forward to serve, lead, and inspire. While we have made great progress, there is still much more to do. True leadership means uplifting and empowering the women around us, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.
As Chief of Police, I have the incredible privilege of working alongside the most intelligent, skilled, and dedicated women - both sworn and civilian police professionals who are shaping the future of policing.
Thank you to all the women of LPS who joined us for #InternationalWomensDay. And who connected with our community to inspire the next generation of women and girls to see themselves in policing and beyond.
Because of you, we are making London a safer community.
It is disappointing for sure. They have cancelled two of my flights in the past six days- for scheduling reasons. Flights booked weeks ago. I too am trying Porter as a great option.
@WestJet is increasingly unreliable. They just cancelled several flights in & out of Hamilton & London-less than 1 week notice. I have family going to both. Not now. Thanks Westjet. Great news @porterairlines will be flying from London. Recurring issue on Westjet.@CBC

Ronald Reagan: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies.
We should beware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.”
Only 4 days until you can purchase limited edition Special Olympics Donuts!🍩 👮

Public safety starts with, and is only possible, by maintaining officer safety. For this reason, the @CACP_ACCP supports @TheIACP and @GLFOP ’s statement of concern with the recent pardons & commutations granted to individuals convicted of killing or assaulting officers.
Trevor Tombe @trevortombe is right.
Cutting off or taxing oil exports to the U.S. would be a disaster for Canada as a country for the many reasons outlined in the article.
Instead, Canada should focus on addressing safety concerns at the border including illegal migration and drug trafficking; and on meeting our military spending commitments in defending our nation and continent.
We can also work to sell more to and buy more from the U.S. and address the trade balance by working to strengthen our own economy, approving projects that grow our economy, and improving our investment climate.
This can and must be a win-win.
Let’s dial back the rhetoric and focus on negotiating solutions that benefit Canadians and Americans.

Now hearing the FES has been tabled after all. Deficit $62 billion for 23-24 — an overrun of more than 50 per cent over what we were told it would be just eight months ago. Just utterly out of control. $48 billion for the current fiscal year — but that projection is as worthless as the last. It’s $8 billion over the budget projection, but it could be $30 billion over by the time the numbers are all in. The truth is we just don’t really know how much the deficit is any more, not even to the nearest $20 billion. The government has lost control of the country’s finances, as earlier it lost control of immigration, and as it will soon lose control of caucus.
