Here are the facts of what you're watching:

Chicago police say the white Mercedes in the clip was possibly linked to a shooting that happened on Monday.

When cops when to pull the guy over, they say he started driving then hit a woman and crashed into a CTA bus multiple times.

"The vehicle struck an adult female pedestrian in the street and continued to flee... [He] struck the bus multiple times with the vehicle and struck an unmarked squad car."

They recovered a gun from the vehicle, by the way.

"As officers attempted to stop the vehicle and place the driver into custody, one officer discharged their service weapon, striking the offender."

The dude was hit in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ok - now for the spin.

His family claims he was getting food when he was "swarmed by officers". They believe police could have done more to "de-escalate".

By the way, the woman who was hit by the Mercedes was hurt.... as were two officers.
