Large hegemonic beer companies controled the beer market from top to bottom and small local distribution business were forced into bad contracts. The issue is that now the roles have shifted. February retail census numbers are in and show a food and beverage market that overall looked broadly similar to January.

Controlling for inflation, spending still about 2% above pre-pandemic trend, down from most of last year.
