@thepedipals Peds RN and future PNP here. You guys are great role models of empathetic care without shaming parents. While educating them. Even as an RN I’ve learned things I can tell and educate patients on.
People think working in peds is all cute kids and baby snuggles. A lot of the time it is. Then there are the days that just shatter your heart and make you want to take all the kids home and love them the way they should be loved.
@thepedipals As a nurse I agree. Providers are being asked to do more and more. Just like nurses. Working in a clinic I try to protect our providers’ time. nurses make up the majority of healthcare so they get the most attention/have loudest voices. The system is broken for everyone.

My favorite part of the morning is when I go down to the cafeteria and one the cafeteria ladies recognizes me and greets me with a “Hey lady! How are you?!” When I don’t come down for a few weeks she noticed too.
