Just sent out the May edition of my First Friday art newsletter.
I talk about:
Stumbling upon inspiration in Sydney, Oz
Exploring a world of art books in Mill Valley
Embracing the chaos of a pyramid scheme
Overhearing some sweet, sweet music.

These two @hubermanlab episodes have been incredibly impactful for my artistic journey this past year. Both for different reasons, both just as powerful.
When the muse speaks or life sparks an idea, no need to question it, or deny it, because you didn’t generate it yourself. All you have to do is listen. You never know where it could take you.
This art tells time.
The Six Months in Dogpatch collection marks the first half year in my studio. Each piece is an abstract landscape of natural stone and epoxy dust, carried by water thrown from my tools across six months of sculpture.
My art practice changed forever when I cut down the walls of my stone grinding booth to reframe it as the art itself. Art that could tell its own story of time and history inside a universe all its own. Now I’m on a different plane of possibility and everything feels new again.
"You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have."
~ Maya Angelou
This is my commitment to play, and unfettered creativity.
