After visiting my sister, we drove home through Carran, Gort, Loughrea and Ballinasloe before joining the M6.
My wife's bird of the day sightings were 24+ Pied Wagtails (Motacilla alba yarrellii) all feeding on the local roads before we joined the motorway.

@AntrimLens I agree, pity we don't have enough hedgerows full of them. Like something I'd seen everywhere I went in Bulgaria, just not Hawthorn but Plum trees, and I mean Everywhere!!!
