Fred Korematsu stood up for the rights of Japanese Americans illegally incarcerated during WWII, devoting his life to justice and equality. Today, Mr. Korematsu’s work is more relevant than ever and I am proud to lead efforts to honor his fight for equality.
May Mr. Korematsu’s legacy remind us that eternal vigilance is required of all of us, as we continue defending the civil liberties of all people and speaking out against injustice.
Wow! Caroline Kennedy calls out her own cousin for being a hypocrite and reveals that he got his own kids vaccinated!!
This should be a way BIGGER story!
@NephRodby@askrenal The link between weight loss (which involves significant muscle losses) and creatinine is quite plausible. I don't think a P of 0.26 in a quick supplementary analysis is convincing.
@VelezNephHepato The cardiologists love rosuvastatin but we've seen a number of cases of toxicity. Whenever possible I get CKD patients back on atorvastatin.
@kidney_boy If there are ongoing losses with K<3.3 I give 40meq for 2 or 3 doses. The next day the K tends to be normal or still low. You give a bit more KCl even if the K normalizes, if there are ongoing losses.
@acweyand Download and install Rstudio and the latest version of R for windows. Find an online course such as datacamp and google whenever you get stuck. Good luck!
@captainchloride I've seen it twice, both with BUN over 200. Usually we dialyze for 2 hours with low blood flow but these 2 got full 4 hour treatments. One seized, the other very obtunded and lethargic.
@NavTangri@kidneydoc101 We systematically treat diabetics but nondiabetics, we take case by case. We are still using >300. I think the absolute benefit for 30-300 is low and might not outweigh costs/risks.
#askrenal I've seen warnings to not use #SGLT2i in kids <6 due to diapers. Has anyone tried them in adults with diapers? Did they get a fungal infection?
