In contrast to 2017, this #InaugurationDay was demonstrably superior, not only because we were unburdened by the previous administration, but because there was an atmosphere of resolve and hope for the future of the country. Since the ceremony was moved indoors, I chose to attend the Heritage Foundation's open house that day to watch it live. Special thanks to Heritage, specifically Rebekah Warwick and Margaret Bland, for helping get my tickets for the weekend! Also, thanks for sending me a physical copy of Mandate for Leadership aka Project 2025, including signatures from Heritage President Kevin Roberts and several contributing authors.
It was truly an inspiring and relieving occasion that was only disappointing for not being at the Capitol for the swearing-in ceremony. However, I was relieved it wasn't due to the bitterly cold weather that day. Given the 20-degree temperature and 10-15 mph winds, conditions would have been dreadful. We had a preview of what could have been the previous day's rally, where attendees waited in a line over two miles long, braving hours of rain and snow in freezing temperatures. Regarding the weather and conditions that evening, the most challenging aspect was undoubtedly the anticipation for the inaugural balls on Monday night. Exacerbating the situation was the fact that the event occurred in frigid teen temperatures, requiring everyone, formally dressed for the occasion, to endure a 2-3 hour wait.
All that being said, I had a wonderful time at the rally and the Liberty Ball. It was great to see everyone, and I am grateful I had the opportunity to be there for another #Inauguration! #Trump
@TomCruise Need it 4DX! Watching Top Gun: Maverick was an exceptional cinematic experience, and it would be wonderful if 4DX theaters considered featuring it during any less busy periods throughout the year. @4dxusa

I am grateful that unlike many conservatives and Christians on social media, @conservmillen is interested in promoting truth and the gospel.
Instead of mocking Ashley and Trevor (and Jesus), this should make you rejoice at the power and hope of the gospel.
Check this out.
The nurse on the left was murdered by an illegal immigrant
The nurse on the right lost his life because he attacked ICE agents trying to arrest a violent criminal illegal immigrant and resisted arrest while carrying a loaded gun
Guess which nurse the radical left calls a hero?
I am grateful for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s fight against Jim Crow segregation.
Christians can reject his liberal theology and adulterous life and acknowledge his heroic advocacy against segregation.
These are the kinds of criminals Renee Good was trying to prevent ICE from arresting. These are the sort of people to whom she was sounding the alarm and giving time to escape by blocking road and blaring horn.
It just hit me afresh that I’m going into 2026 without new sermons and studies from these two faithful shepherds. And while I absolutely trust God’s timing, I can’t help but feel that loss. So many have been willing to sell out their ministries to gain prestige, or access to some sphere or financial benefit or just to keep up with the trends.
And I think of these two men, who were impervious to trends and to worldly psychological manipulation and I miss them so much.
Still enormous back catalogs to work through, of course, and I know that I will continue to learn from both. But sometimes, when you have a hard day, it just hits you that two giants, whose teaching you have always relied on, will no longer be producing new work.
It’s tough.
