@DerkeBlake@TheJoeySwoll@DitkainYoMouf@balkwhisperer Except you could argue fielders actions baited him into sliding when it wasn't warranted causing interference (there are plenty of rules that require bon fide attempts) its the letter vs spirit of the law here. I bet this gets changed/clarified in the off season
@ahkmabad@UnderdogMLB Seriously? It was ball four not remotely the same thing. It might have been the letter of the law but definitely not the spirit of it
@FormerylNurgle What? A century ago you couldn't sub. So clearly your statement is false. The laws of the have have changed over the years so relax a bit. Anyone who cares which direction the clock ticks is weird though. But it should stop during these hydration breaks (if they continue)
@bambo50507@JohnChr13937345@ScoringChanges@Phillies@Mets I meant he didn't advance to third because they threw home. He was attempting a triple. He was past second before the relay had the ball. Once that happens, its a triple if he's safe at thirdn you may not like it but that's the way it has always worked
@bambo50507@JohnChr13937345@TheBenPeck@ScoringChanges@Phillies@Mets That's not how the rules are. He was already around second never slowing when the relay got the ball. If he's safe it's triple. Just because he was unlikely to be safe if the throw went to 3rd is immaterial bc the throw to 3rd is bc of him running not him running bc of the throw
@AntSpeaks It's not a boot it's a trunk. Its a jersey not a kit. See how dumb it sounds. Same language different words for sane thing. Everyone survives.
