@law_esha I believe it is not fair because the compensation they may receive for pain and suffering can help people afford treatment to help with coping with what happened to them. For example it can help people hire a psychologist, buy an emotional support animal, etc.

@law_esha I don't think #CriminalCharges should be pressed because he didn't actually help her commit #suicide, he only witnessed it. In the future it should be the doctors responsibility to monitor the mental well being of these people denied medical assisted death to ensure their safety.

@law_esha I agree that the laws around impaired driving are not #strict enough but if you change the law around breathalyzers and condone random search and seizure then what is to stop people from calling random search and seizure into question in other situations?

@kveiner I think that the lack of #GunControl can be blamed for most school shootings because guns are getting into the hands of the wrong people. Having security in schools can help lessen the severity of shootings but to entirely stop school shootings we need #GunControlNow.

@nickBCSS_Law Yes, Canada has much better #GunControl than America. To obtain a licence in Canada, applicants must undergo a screening process, which includes a safety course, criminal history and background checks, personal references, and a mandatory waiting period.

@nickBCSS_Law The two men and the woman should have to pay for all damage caused by the fire because even though smoking is not illegal it was their #careless actions that caused the fire to begin with. Because there was no malicious intent I believe that no criminal charges should be filed.

@victoriaglaw Laws need to be implemented to stop this #issue. For example, Vancouver is banning the use of plastic straws, foam cups, and containers in an attempt to nationally ban plastic waste by 2042. This is a great step towards improving #ClimateChange worldwide.

@nickBCSS_Law I believe that the airline overstepped. But I also believe that the flight attendants comments were not meant to be #discriminatory or #malicious. Southwest made a statement apologizing to the mother explaining that it wasn't their intention to make the family uncomfortable..

@BCSSLawDas I think that companies should consider all races and ethnicities when searching for employees but in order to be totally #unbiased they need to hire the person most qualified and best fit for the job not taking into consideration their race or ethnicity.

@nickBCSS_Law The school attempted to restrict his speech because it had "elements that were inconsistent with the teaching of the Catholic Church." this violates his #ConstitutionalRights. They were also discriminating against the students sexual orientation because he was openly gay.

@nickBCSS_Law Unfortunately these are very difficult situations and there is not much to be done. If neither party has tangible #proof then it will be up to a judge or jury to decide who's version of the story they believe most.

@stephanieglaw @MalgiLaw @saraheflinn There is a clear difference between #FreedomOfSpeech, and discriminatory speech. Law enforcement will have to be able to recognize the difference in future cases. I do believe in some cases it would be a #reasonable violation of rights to convict people harassing women.
