NYC apartment hunting.
Bathroom on floor 9¾. Ceiling so low you crawl in sideways. Tub jammed under a slant.
Next place: sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time. Efficiency.
$3,500 a month: front door touches the bed. Pull the curtain — that’s the shower. Prison cell with better branding.
Open the door from bed. Zero steps. Accept the delivery. Shoebox living.
“The grand foyer” — a hallway you have to turn sideways to enter.
Kitchen-bathroom. Toilet. Microwave. Sink. Mini-fridge. One room. Imagine it.
Strangest apartment in Manhattan: glass shower stall in the middle of the kitchen. Cook dinner. Take a shower. Same square footage.
Natural light? A two-inch beam off a brick wall. “That’s what we pay the big bucks for.”
Open the window for air. Smells like trash and piss.
Basement special: waterfall through the window onto the bed. Very feng shui.
Wingspan touches both walls. Price you can’t even imagine.
Midtown for ~$1,400: one sink. A ladder. A loft with inches of headroom.
This isn’t housing. It’s a subscription to suffering.
As a Catholic, I have seen priests from India, Nigeria, and many other countries. You know what I haven't seen, an archbishop giving an award to a Cleric linked to Osama Bin Laden!
@nypost As a Catholic, and a cantor for my Church, I have done more for my community than Sydney Sweeney has ever done. Also, if you're okay with this, are you okay with the World Naked Bike Ride?
