Habari nzuri Woote? Mungu asifiwe (apoyo Rubanga, yebazibwe Katonda).
Congratulations on the series of elections that we have been having ever since the
15th of January, 2026. These were: the Presidential, the Parliamentary, District Chairpersons, District Councillors, Sub-County Chairpersons and Sub-County Councillors. I, especially, congratulate our
party, the NRM, for winning all those elections with big majorities.
I also congratulate the other parties such as the DP, UPC, etc., that participated
in the elections without using violence unlike the Party of NUP and some few elements of FDC, that were using violence. The parties under IPOD should clearly lay out agreed guidelines on the dos and donβts of election management, according to the laws and the constitution of Uganda.

In the house!
Different delegates, government officials and Senior Party Leaders among others have already arrived at Kololo Independence Grounds ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. #M7SwearsIn2026
The Swearing-In Ceremony symbolises the lawful transfer of authority, guided by our Constitution and national values. The instruments handed over represent the responsibility to serve, uphold our identity, and advance the aspirations of all Ugandans. #M7SwearsIn2026
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Habaari. Greetings to all of you.
Of recent, I have noticed a lot of orwaari (noise, kelele), regarding the Sovereignty Bill. Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated.
Below is clarification on what I initiated.
I want to thank Mzee, my family members, colleagues in the UPDF, all government officials and very importantly the thousands of friends and supporters who sent me birthday wishes today. Thank you all so much. All your expressions of goodwill, love and appreciation mean a lot to me. God bless you all and God bless Uganda.
