He nods.

"You'd have been the one person I wanted to watch out for her. I'd do anything to keep her safe too."

He was caught in a time slip for a while, it seems. But he's here. Can someone catch him up to speed?

He glances at Robin and then smiles at Kate.

He suggested, reaching over to pat her arm again before gently patting Robins.

"If the doctor got rid of him then I trust the doctors judgement. He most likely won't come-

He says, as John continues to hug him. Judging from this man's attitude towards him, this must be the doctor, well, a version of them.

He chuckles a little at the hug but let's it happen

"An explosion in one of the labs I assume?"

He jokes.

"I can assure you all that I'm alright. And I missed you all too."

“Of course! The place only had a teensy little explosion.” He’s just joking: there were no explosions at all.

He laughs and walks over to hug Brigs, even though it’s not professional of him.

“I’m really glad you’re okay, I was worried that something bad happened to you.”

"And so it got to you?"

He gently reached over and rubbed Kates shoulder.

"It happen, Tiger. You were not yourself. And I hope the person that you took it out on knows that."

He pauses for a moment

"I hope the doctor got rid of him,

He didn't want to upset the pair of them, not when it had clearly shaken them.

"It is, but if you're feeling like that, it's okay to step back and let someone else handle it. I'm here, and I want to help, tiger."

He looks between her and Robin, who's curled herself up on the chair.

He pulls back slightly and looks her in the eyes.

"How've you been, Tiger?"

@KateLethbridgeS @scoutsjourney He smiles softly as Kate came over and went straight into the hug. He gently rubbed her back, like she was a child again.

"I'm here, Tiger. It's going to be okay."

He would never be angry with her. He was happy to hear that she seemed to be alright physically. But he wasn't sure about mentally.

"I'm in the office with Robin. Just walk in, the doors unlocked."

He says softly. It's been a long time, and he exhales softly.

"I don't know how, but I made it out. I'm back at Unit, Robins caught me up on what I've missed."

He pauses

"Tiger, could you come over? I heard about what happened to you."

"At ease, gentlemen." He says, but he's got a small smile on his face.
"I'm glad to be back. I trust you've kept the place tidy while I've been missing?"

He's missed their banter. But it feels natural, like he'd never left.

“Sir!” He’s standing there with Yates and Benton, they all wear relieved grins. “We finally got you back! We were all worried about you.”

He gently patted Robin on the shoulder and reached for the phone on the desk, dialing the number and putting the phone up to his ear. He let it ring, hoping she'd pick up.

"Hello, Tiger."

@scoutsjourney He said softly, partly an excuse to let his daughter know he was okay, and just to make sure that she was alright after that particular misadventure.

@scoutsjourney His eyes widened when Robin said that. Kate was often too much like him for their own good and since he hadn't been around, Kate wouldn't have had anyone to talk to that wouldn't make her feel judged.

"How about we call Kate over? I'm sure she'll want to know I'm back."
