I’ve been warning since 2018 that Abdul El-Sayed is a Muslim Brotherhood-tied operative who served as vice president of the University of Michigan Muslim Students Association (MSA).

Below is a newly unearthed video of this JIhadi preaching to his fellow MSA comrades....

The MSA was founded in 1963 by Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood members. The Brotherhood wants a global Islamic state under Sharia and has produced or shaped leaders of al-Qaeda, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Its founder Hassan al-Banna’s motto:

“God is our objective, the Quran is our Constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our way, and death for the sake of God is the highest of our aspirations.”

MSA conferences have gone further with their pledge: “Allah is my lord. Islam is my life… Jihad is my spirit… I will die to establish Islam.”

🚨Abdul is drowning in Muslim Brotherhood and other terror connections....

In 2018, he snapped at critics of his MSA/Brotherhood links: “Muslims definitely hate you.”

His half-sister posted that the family “has long been MB” and that their mother was active in the Brotherhood in Egypt in the 1970s. He denies it.

His mother worked for a group the U.S. Treasury sanctioned for supporting al-Qaeda and Hamas.

His father-in-law sits on the ISNA Founders Committee and was president of CAIR-Michigan (still on its board). Both groups were unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas-financing trial. He’s given hundreds of thousands to the super PAC supporting El-Sayed, and the campaign has taken over $100k from CAIR-linked people.

He has taken money from Brotherhood-linked donors and signed a 2012 letter backing Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi.

Katie’s preventable, violent killing on the streets of Sanctuary Urbana, Illinois, brought me into this battle. But it also made it impossible to look away when other families suffer the same unimaginable and foreseeable loss.

I want to introduce you to Anya Varfolomeev and her boyfriend, Nicholay Osokin. Both were 19 when an intoxicated driver killed them on California’s 405 Freeway. They had their whole lives ahead of them.

Their story moved me because, in so many ways, it mirrors Katie’s. Two young lives cut short. Families left with a lifetime of grief. And difficult questions about the policies, laws, and decisions that shape accountability afterward.

The driver received two 10-year sentences, served concurrently. California’s sentencing rules and credits reduced his time in state prison to approximately 3½ years. As his release approached, Anya’s father says he received just seven days’ notice.

That is why I write about families beyond my own. Their children matter. Their stories deserve to be heard. And the consequences of government policies deserve honest scrutiny, regardless of whose political narrative they challenge.

Anya and Nicholay are not the only family whose story deserves to be heard. There are others, and I intend to keep telling these stories because the human consequences of public policy must never be ignored.

The Other Side of “Our Neighbors.” Another family. Another tragedy. More questions our leaders must answer.

Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, an 18-year-old Somali-American who was arrested for plotting an ISIS-inspired mass shooting targeting 30–60 people at Minnesota's Mall of America, expressed his desire to murder White people before traveling to Somalia and never returning to the United States.
