@Tarkores@Venxtra@nocontextmemes I every job I worked management burns the midnight oil, while others fuck off as soon as possible. It’s why it’s important to give everyone a financial stake either in a coop structure or with stock options.
@NewmanPhil34643@Finn08245703@nocontextmemes I’m sorry that happened. But they didn’t do it for funsies, like the posters here suggest. (I’m also incapable of firing people even when I should trim the fat, so I’m mostly running my mouth.) Did you manage to land on your feet?
@Hitchslap1 There’s a great little Shadowrun book about this I read as a kid. Guy turns into a troll, his IQ drops to 75, and spends the next decades working on a genetic cure through force of will alone. Eventually succeeds, but by that time he is wise enough not to use it.
@Natural_Hater_ That game was made in a more civilized, nuanced age. “A woman is allowed to enjoy her sexiness, that’s not an invitation for assult and harassment” used to be a normal message before we decided to abolish sexiness instead. This is the thinking that leads to hijabs.
@Venxtra@nocontextmemes “Execs don’t do anything” is a very unemployed take, but I do support exec bloodfights. It would make sure only fighters with warrior hearts remain management, which is good for business. But that would lead to more firings, not less.
@Finn08245703@nocontextmemes Yes, companies always let go of key talent for no reason. Execs get together and cackle over who to fire to buy yachts, even if it hurts the studio while smoking cigars and touching children.
@BlitzDannysaur@Alrightpunk Spike is pretty nice for someone without a soul. Xander is relatively normal for an average teenager surrounded by magical girls.
@KyleMcCordMuse Because it shows that the problems are real, dumbass racism is not the solution to it on either side of the conflict, but neither is ignoring it.
@ChristianTWIT4@JoestarJorik@Yeenie_Mcbeenie I know some leftists who believe Musk is exceptional, the case they make is that he takes more from the present and the future than he “puts in”. Which is at least a coherent argument, (One they would never publicly state. Which I also get because he is really annoying.)
