Looks like the new Disney hotel replacing River Country will had little to no references or acknowledgments to the former water park which is a huge shame and missed opportunity. This new art backs up what I have been told by people working on this project

Disney shared a new look at Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the resort set to open in summer 2027. The full-resolution art shows the backside of the resort, pool area, the waterfront restaurant, boat dock, and more.

The resort will feature nods to Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear.

Demolition on the notorious Orlando Sun Resort is now well underway. The lobby is all gone along with many of the lodging buildings.

I returned to the abandoned resort near Disney which I did a video on back in 2022. It was honestly shocking to see how far it has fallen. The property is being ransacked by scrappers & most buildings are a complete death trap mess. Unrecognizable how it looked 11 years ago.
