The weeklong retreat will run from May 31st - June 5th and take place at the @omega_institute in Rhinebeck, NY (2 hours north of NYC).

About The Omega Institute

The Omega Institute is one of the most well-known and respected retreat centers in America and it's a honor to partner with them. Started in 1977, Omega has hosted Ram Das, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh, Allen Ginsberg, and countless other great teachers of our time.

Located on 250 acres, the campus includes miles of forest trails, a lake (you can use their kayaks!), a full-service spa (you can get a massage in the middle of retreat!), vegetable and flower gardens, hidden sanctuaries, sculpture installations, the Omega Center for Sustainable Living (a green building that contains a chemical-free water reclamation system), a bookstore, and a cafe.

Partnering with Omega for this retreat is a milestone in my journey as a teacher. Many of you have been with me for years, and honestly, it would mean the world to have you there in the room.

Happy birthday @brightmind_app! 8 years ago today, we launched on the @AppStore, received the New Apps We Love Award from @Apple, and got 30,000 downloads in a few days. I was so pumped! I still remember pressing the release button with my co-founder, Christian. We popped champaign! It's been an honor to support everyone's practice and cultivate a global community over the years. Finally, we explore an inventive and beautiful practice of nurturing our own sense of trustworthiness. All of these are ways of highlighting the basic creativity of meditation, how we can mix and match the core skills to build practices that work for us.

I’m pleased to announce that I will be teaching via @sangha_live, a global online platform for interactive dharma classes and courses, on Sunday, June 16.

I’ve been invited to lead their weekly, live “Sunday Sangha” program. This online class includes guided meditation, dharma talk, and an interactive Q&A, and is offered on dana/generosity-basis.

The Out Breath: Unlocking Concentration

Shodo Harada Roshi is known as a “teacher of teachers”, with masters from various lineages coming to sit with him in Japan. If you went to Harada’s monastery, the main meditation technique you’d learn involves slowing the out breath to last one minute. This drastically slows down your physiology, which in turn settles the mind.

The class is 1.5 hours long and begins at:
