🟠 Today, 18 February 2025, ZIMCODD along with @ecozim, @SAYWHATOrg, @zinecda, and FACET hosted a meeting. This meeting will validate the Education Quarterly Budget Tracking Tool and launch the Policy Brief on Education Financing for Primary and Secondary Education.
🟠 @MunasheTofa walked the meeting through the quarterly budget tracking tool, drawing specific attention to the need to adopt outcome-reporting as opposed to activity-reporting which is limited in scope.
🟠 The Policy Brief on Education Financing , submitted to the Members of the Portfolio Committee on Primary and Secondary Education, reviews the current state of education funding. It identifies problems and provides evidence-based recommendations to create a more inclusive educational environment.
🟠 A key point made by Hon @SupaCollinsM is the need to develop a plan to address the low budget for capital spending. This limited funding slows down the repair and improvement of school infrastructure, making it less accessible for students with disabilities and adolescent girls who have started their menstrual cycle.
