We are told we have to wait until March to see this new core funding. We understand that it takes time to work out the mechanism. We where told February. Please don’t push this out any further. We cannot make business decisions. Parents are left in limbo as to what is happening.
We need proper funding. Providers are on their knees if proper funding is not given for families there will be mass closures of services nationwide. Providers can no longer subsidies families anymore. We are one of the lowest funded in the EU don’t forget that. @isme_ie
I have been receiving calls from services that cannot open this week due to staff providers and families all isolating or have covid. This is the worst Iv ever seen. We do not want to let our parents down. But health safety and well-being must be our priority. @FederationEarly
We are being treated like second class citizens. RESPECT the Early Learning and Care work force. We have had enough of being treated differently to the schools. We want priority PCR tests and contact tracing back. We will not work under these conditions anymore @DonnellyStephen
Early Learning sector must be prioritized for Pcr testing. How can we keep the service open if we are all waiting 4-5 days for Pcr test and results. Wake up @DonnellyStephen the economy needs us and so do our parents. Give us back contact tracing. Enough is enough
enough is enough. Vaccinate your sector. Fight for our rights to be moved up the list. We are sitting ducks and no one fights at the table for us. Minister your sector is very disheartened tonight. Very disappointed. We are essential frontline workers. RESPECT US @rodericogorman
As a predominately woman lead sector looking after the nations youngest children. We have rights to be protected by the state from this virus. why are we being ignored. Why are we a last though to our government. Protect your youngest, vaccinate the teachers. @LeoVaradkar
Still silence from the department. One week to go and our funding runs our. We have no idea what is happening. We need clarity now, not last minute @LeoVaradkar@rodericogorman we need to prioritised for the vaccine now. #ourlivesmatter RESPECT our sector
Another day of nothing. No communication regarding Ppe, vaccinator, antigen testing and low occupancy leading to huge financial issues yet we are forced to keep our doors open. The forgotten sector. Putting parents, children and the economy first. #ourlivesmatter@RTE_PrimeTime
31,000 practitioners in the UK have had Covid since the beginning of December. Services closing their doors. Are we going to wait until it is to late. We are sitting duck, covid is already spreading in our sector. What are you going to do to help us @LeoVaradkar@ingridmileyRTE
Email from the department at 6.30 on a Friday night. Not good enough. We have asked again and again no emails after 5 on Friday. This is not right. It causes stress for providers. Please respect our weekends as we deserve our weekend break. @rodericogorman
