I’ve been doing a genealogy project on their side of the family. I think about them often, how much they taught me and how proud they would be of me and how much I would tell them if I could.
Miss my Grammy and my Grandpa daily. August is hard because I lost them both in August. November is also the worst because both their birthdays and their wedding anniversary was in November.
I feel this the most when I want to call my Grandad. In the split second I forget that I can’t do that anymore, I get so excited to fall him to tell him something, and then I remember. And my chest aches every time
They came up in therapy the other day and I couldn’t figure out why they were so close to mind, but then I realized it was because it was the first week of August.
One day I hope to have a place to display hem as she did chips and fading and all. I also want her to black and white flower design tattooed somewhere.
I got my grandmother’s wedding china. She loved cooking and used them every New Year’s some of the designs are faded. I love making her recipes and putting the dishes she put on them. They should be used and remembered.
I got so many random, beautiful pieces of china and silverware from my Mimi and Papa when they passed that I’d never seen in my life. So I use the pieces I have every day and enjoy them because keeping them packed up but then wanting them passed on made no sense to me
@Orvudo@alitlstrawberry This was me! Except the Doctor who said no was my THERAPIST! Asked my GP for a referral for evaluation and yup I have ADHD… got a new therapist too.
It's a complicated life-long condition and this isn't an 'explosion' in diagnosis - it's a catch up. I don't want anyone to waste years like I did hating myself. I want it to be more understood, and more widely recognised. Negative headlines making people feel like...11/12

When @josie_pozies was in the hospital last month I bought precut veggies & fruit & low executive function meals like mac & cheese &microwave egg cups. This was the only way I got through that stressful week with my ADHD.
