Kentucky businesses and families rely on childcare assistance to make ends meet - to ensure our littlest learners are learning and our economy is humming.
Freezing funds will disrupt progress - no matter how you measure it.
Federal child care funding may soon be frozen, which would threaten the strength of both Kentucky families and the workforce. Any delay in child care assistance could jeopardize access to care for more than 30,000 Kentucky children who currently rely on this support. Read the full statement here: https://t.co/CzKzgApG9f

The @PrichardCom is alarmed by a reported freeze in federal child care payments. We urge the administration to transmit full funding, and we urge Members of Congress to press for the dollars to be delivered without delay. @RepAndyBarr@brettguthrie@RepJamesComer#StrongStartKY #KY
“Trump freezes child care funds.”
Childcare funding must continue without pause. KY families rely on CCAP dollars for quality care each week. Our state economy depends on parents working and child care businesses making payroll.

KY Friends on X,
If you're like me, at times you wonder how our children's formative years prepared them for life after high school and for a rapidly-changing future with respect to the economy and the labor market.
With that in mind, I've been very interested in understanding how our children experienced school; what served them well, not so well, and what do they wish they would have received that they did not.
I'm excited to share - and request your help with - a Young Adult Survey which will help us better understand their experience and inform the shape of Kentucky's education system going forward - so we can help ensure Kentucky's high school diploma is meaningful to them - and the future they will inherit.
If you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or neighborhood friend who is between the ages of 20-35 and was educated in Kentucky public schools, please ask them to take this short survey. Their voice is important to Kentucky's future and to us at The @PrichardCom for Academic Excellence.
You can share the X post or you can click on the post and share the URL link with them by text or email. Please help us get a resounding understanding of their experience. This post is also on my FB and LinkedIN for easy sharing there.

Prichard Committee Vice Chair Dr. Julia Roberts, a longtime champion for gifted education, was present as Governor Beshear signed House Bill 190 into law — expanding access to advanced coursework for every qualified student across the Commonwealth.
Joined by Representative Robert Duvall of Bowling Green, this legislation marks a significant step toward broadening opportunities and reaffirming Kentucky’s commitment to academic excellence for all students.
HB 190 is a major win for Kentucky’s exceptional learners!

Good things are happening!
@DanvilleSchools recently hosted a "Learning Walk" for community members and parents to become better acquainted with what's happening in the classroom. It was a slam dunk!
"As a parent and community member I can let other parents know how much is going on in the schools and also push them to want to be a part of experiences like these to be more involved parents. And for parents to want to share their time and talents with the school community."-Parent
Big KUDOS to @yatesinfirst, Community Schools District Director for his vision and follow-through!
Building a #Groundswell for a #BigBoldFuture - one KY community at a time.
"NAEP gives us a tool to understand how a state is doing relative to others. Without it, we can’t measure how Kentucky is doing compared to Ohio, Virginia, or California." - Brigitte
