After a great morning at the Arras Tunnels we have managed to board an earlier Euro Tunnel train. It could change depending on traffic, but we're hoping to be back at Brigshaw for 8:30.
It's been a busy day in Belgium and France. We have been to Serre Road, Newfoundland Park, Thiepval, Lochnagar Crater, Poperinge and Lijssenthoek. We're having dinner now, before the Menin Gate Ceremony and Leonidas Chocolate Shop. ๐ซ
After being notified of wildcat strikes in the port of Calais this morning, we have made a slight adjustment and are now on the ferry to Dunkirk. It hasn't caused any major delays and we should still be able to complete the full itinerary today.

Year's 10, 11, 12 & 13 continue to crack on at speed in 100% live lessons. Check your school email addresses for the Google Meet invites. If last week is anything to go by, there is a fantastic reserve of enthusiasm and resilience throughout our year groups. We're so impressed!
Another busy week of remote learning supporting all of our Historians continue their study through the History curriculum with lessons prepared by our team. Year 7 have a recorded lesson with Mr Copley looking at The Black Death and what people believed caused it at the time.
Year 8 are studying the Industrial Revolution's impact on the working class with a local focus on the Yorkshire Cloth Workers Petition with Ms Puddepha. Year 9 are looking at Jewish Alienation in the 1930s as a precursor to the holocaust with Ms Riley. Check Google Classroom!
Close of play on day 1 of the new term & we've already had 249 student submissions to Google Classroom & even more students contributing hard work to live lessons. Well done to all the Brigshaw Historians who have made a brilliant start in challenging circumstances. We're proud.
