It is impressive how the forecasts of James Hansen's group (on the right at an arrest in front of the White House in 2011) are being confirmed. The bottom figure is from December 2022, when there was not much evidence that global mean temperature would follow Hansen's forecast (yellow strip). The upper figure is from 16 May 2024. Today in Utrecht a grim milestone was marked; for the 2nd year in a row, a Dutch activist group laid out children’s shoes & read aloud the names & ages of the children who have been killed by the Israelis in Gaza.

Today they read 19k names. It took almost 6 hours.
