Reading this thread on the Moore County attack, lots of locals sharing stories about how things have changed in their area. Scary to read. https://t.co/dGS431Nv1u
Kudos to my colleagues @ThePilotNews for covering this accurately and with as much detail as possible...while working from their phones because their office and homes have no power
I'm not sure "vandalism" is the right word for shooting up electrical substations in way that shuts down power to half a county. Maybe don't downplay this, TV news?
This Spanish city centre has been car-free for 20 years. 12k people have moved into the centre since the ban. The Mayor says vehicles don’t have more right to public space than people — & he’s been re-elected 4 times since banning cars. Pontevedra via @WEF
The mayor of Paris 🇫🇷 transformed her city into a 🚲bicycle city🚲 in incredibly short time.
It continues to impress how much Paris has changed for the better. Less dust, less noise, more quality of life

Been such a long journey, but so glad to see railroad trestle mural FINALLY come to Glenwood South. Proud for @DowntownRaleigh to partner with @Glenwood_South to get this done. In past year, we have managed to get murals on railroad trestle & utility building wall. Never give up!
@maryannbaldwin I don’t think this is a trying to make people care about soccer tactic at all. This is providing a way for the community to gather to enjoy something that only happens every four years and has a large following.
@Mary4DistrictA Also, would like to see how often this has happened to other UNC schools. How many have been over their allotment and which ones did or didn’t get penalized?
@Mary4DistrictA I feel like that article left out a lot of info. Is this based only on the archaic policy or did they dig deeper? Were in-state students denied b/c there were too many out of state? If so, I can see having more discussions about the issue. If not, this is archaic/ridiculous.
@Lights_A5 I’m so sorry. We need to be more real about the safety of our “bike lanes”. In most cases they’re like this - totally unprotected and essentially just a painted shoulder.
I was hit by a car here while on my bike tonight. I am okay, but this happened when a car turned into the parking garage here. They turned into me and cut me off. I've already had several close calls here. Simply put, this lane is not safe. I hope #ralpol will fix it one day.
@_lucillesherman The fact that it is still so blatant and obvious even in a day when people are called on their BS more makes it that much more frustrating too. It makes it seem like things are more of an uphill battle than we first thought (even though deep down we knew it really was).
I like the way this topic was separate from the general talking point of "increasing the supply of housing will increase affordability." A deeper analysis is needed for low wage workers. "Expanding the Supply of Affordable Housing for Low-Wage Workers" https://t.co/wqxMT8hH2k
