On Saturday, we honoured the visionary founders of BTS and the TDT, established in 1975 by individuals like Bishop Trevor Huddleston and Hon. Amon Nsekela. Their commitment to promoting mutual understanding and direct support has shaped five decades of positive impact.
On saturday, I had the honour of speaking at the 50th Anniversary of the Britain–Tanzania Society and the Tanzania Development Trust at St. James’s Church, Piccadilly, London.
For half a century, BTS and TDT have shown the power of people-to-people diplomacy—touching over 900,000 lives in Tanzania through grassroots projects, education, and innovation.
Together, we honour the past, celebrate the present, and commit to a future of deeper collaboration, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
