The BIA just issued an interim final rule that it seems will sharply reduce the number of cases it hears, authorizing the board to summarily dismis appeals unless a majority of board members vote to hear a case on the merits.

DHS is proposing a change to F, J and I visas (primarily students and foreign media) that would involve a defined end date for authorized stay rather than admission for duration of status (meaning, they get to stay as long as they comply w/terms of their visa classification).
