For the second time, our sanctions in response to Russia’s prolongation of the war have reached the oil refinery in Ufa, one of Russia’s largest producers of lubricants. The distance is more than 1,300 kilometers from the frontline.
Also in the Penza region, our weapons reached a strategic facility of Russia’s military-industrial complex involved in developing and manufacturing components for missile weaponry that the occupiers use to strike our cities and communities. The distance to the target is about 600 kilometers from the frontline.
Every day, our plan for imposing Ukrainian long-range sanctions is being implemented. This is an entirely just response to everything Russia is doing against us. Peace is needed, and this is exactly what Russia’s leadership must realize. Russia must end its war. And Russia’s leadership has every opportunity to do so. I thank every Ukrainian warrior who ensures our long-range accuracy.

i'm obsessed with what's happening in AI reforestation right now
this Franco-Brazilian startup called MORFO took a patch of land in Brazil that was rock-hard and compacted from years of cattle farming. they replanted it using a single drone. months later the ground was covered in grass, bushes, and small trees. the land came back to life.
here's how the whole thing works.
1. drones scan the terrain with high-resolution cameras and sensors
2. AI analyzes the imagery alongside soil samples, moisture levels, slope, and surrounding vegetation
3. the system picks from a catalog of 300+ native species, deciding exactly which plants will thrive in which specific spot
4. the drone fires biodegradable seed pods packed with seeds, nutrients, and moisture at 180 capsules per minute
5. satellite and drone imagery monitors regrowth over time, with AI tracking vegetation cover and biodiversity
6. two people and one drone cover 50 hectares a day. a person planting by hand manages about one hectare.
and MORFO isn't alone. AirSeed in Australia drops 250,000 seed pods per day into bushfire-scarred koala habitat, replanting swamp mahogany that koalas depend on to survive. Flash Forest in Canada fires 50,000 pods daily into wildfire-destroyed boreal forest, planning the replanting alongside Cree Indigenous communities. re-green won Prince William's Earthshot Prize after planting 6 million seedlings across 30,000 hectares of Amazon and Atlantic Forest.
five companies across four continents built this same approach independently. nobody coordinated. the physics of the problem demanded it.
knowing which seeds belong in which soil used to require years of ecological fieldwork, manual planting crews, and budgets that made large-scale restoration nearly impossible. now two people with a drone and an AI model trained on local soil data can replant 50 hectares before lunch.
this is the AI work that'll still matter in 50 years.

Meanwhile in Russia: Vladimir Solovyov and his guests expressed their concerns that Russia is becoming a laughing stock and loudly argued about what they should do with Ukrainians if Russia wins this war.

💥 For now, two key bridges have been destroyed. There are still a few less complicated ones to eliminate, - Andryuschenko
📍Novoazovsk. North of the city on the Gursky Yelanchik there are two more small bridges, one of which is currently detoured.
📍Mariupol. Post-bridge. It itself crumbles, if you hit it - there will be one large bridge between Kalmykia and the Left Bank districts.
📍North of Mariupol. Bridge in Kremenovka. Detour is possible through the village of Kalchyk, but this is at least plus 30 km. Southwest of Kremenovka there is another bridge in the village of Peremoha. It will put an end to the direction Donetsk-Volnovakha-Nikolkske - Rozivka or Manhush.
📍And the last bridge near Dem'yanivka. Also new. It was also blown up in 2022.
Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi said it is too early to speak of a turning point on the front, but Ukraine has liberated over 670 km² since the start of the year. He credited a campaign of exhausting Russian forces, increasing enemy losses, and disrupting offensive plans. Ukrainian forces now conduct about 45-50% of all daily offensive and assault actions, while Russian activity has declined. #Ukraine
Modified Ukrainian Maya decoy drones struck a concentration of Russian trucks in Donetsk, destroying more than 20.
Originally developed as a decoy to saturate Russian air defenses, this appears to be the first documented use of the Mayaas a guided strike drone.
They deliberately burn fields and forest belts so that our military have no place to hide, so that only the scorched earth remains after them.
This is not a war with the harvest. This is a targeted terror against Ukrainian farmers, our people and our land.” - Victor Hordiienko
Together with Sweden, we continue strengthening Ukraine's combat aviation. Today, our countries signed an agreement for the procurement of 16 Gripen E fighter jets. Importantly, the aircraft will come with a package of related equipment, technical assistance, and support. In addition, under our previous agreements with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, the first 16 Gripen C/D aircraft will be transferred to our Air Force at the beginning of 2027.
I thanked Sweden's Minister for Defense, Pål Jonson, for this support and for the cooperation during our meeting. We discussed in detail the implementation of these steps, as well as broader bilateral cooperation, including preparations for the Drone Deal and our work on anti-ballistic defense.
I thank Sweden – all the people and the Government – for the meaningful partnership and for the consistent support since the start of Russia's invasion. Together, we are working for the security of Ukraine and of all Europe.
You @narendramodi must free Matt Van Dyke. He is a US citizen. Where are you @SecRubio ? You forced the Romanian government to free the pedophiles Tates brothers and you are doing nothing to free a US Soldier? Its disgusting #FreeMattVanDyke
What isn't appreciated is that the Russian fuel crisis wouldn't reaolve itself overnight if the Ukrainian stridkes ended tomorrow.
The refineries have taken far more damage and the fuel distribution system has also taken significant damage.
The entire fuel supply chain has been completely rerouted several times over. More trucks are required to compensate for reductions in pipeline capacity from strikes and the trucks need to travel longer to get fuel from operaitng refineries.
This comes as Ukraine has targeted military fuel trucks further increasing the demand on fuel tankers.
If the fuel outages continue to worsen, expect some low margin industrial product production to cease. This will further hanper repairs.
Another point to consider is the effect on sanction rerouting. The costs were already high, this makes them unbearable.
As a systems engineer, logistics is one of the hardest problems. This is a nightmare. Thankfully, not my nightmare.

In the first year of his presidency, Trump made more money than in the rest of his life combined.
A total of $2.2 billion from the presidency.
Meanwhile, most Americans worked hard to just break even.
This is the cost of corruption.
