Mecklenburg County is now accepting more items to be recycled in curbside bins including plastic fruit containers, fast food beverage cups, Polypropylene (PP) containers and takeout containers.

Mecklenburg County recently upgraded its equipment at the Amble Drive MRF allowing these items to now be recycled curbside

A bill to legalize sports betting in North Carolina passed the House 66-45. One more vote tomorrow and then it is on to the Senate. Governor Roy Cooper is in favor. Would take effect Jan 8. That’s also the date of the 2024 CFB Championship.
