@BruceIronsNFL Bruce, it’s because the tender number is 3x Zayne’s contract last year. It’d be bad business to tender a 28 yr old 4th string safety who has had injuries the last two years, even if he is a good special teams player. I would think they still might bring him back on a min deal.
@BenjaminSolak Between "Jeff Hafley's unit in Green Bay" in the CB section, and "Jonah Coleman... is undersized at 5'9" 228 lbs" (in what world is that undersized for a RB?!) I stopped reading. Generally a fan of yours but this analysis is obviously lacking.
@by_JBH Packers are league average in ST penalties, and you want to fire a coach because his kicker, who has been hurt half the year, kicks touchbacks occasionally and the most consistent WR dropped a ball. You obviously don’t remember the Sean Mennenga and Maurice Dayton years.
@allinkid Yep. And I’m required to use them when I have to sell my season tickets because of their partnership with the NFL. If I don’t use them, I am at risk of losing my season tickets if the people who buy the tickets get kicked out. Criminal.
@JacobMorley Not just all season, these same problems have been happening for THREE seasons. The last 2 years it was easy to blame it on youth, hoping these players would mature and be more consistent. Thats not an excuse anymore and the lack of execution is equally on the coaches and players
@Peter_Bukowski Yeah, they have one of the best orthopedic specialists in the country on a historically conservative staff, so I'm inclined to think they know what they're doing.
@KenIngalls@BillHuberNFL I typically do not advocate trades like this, but this is an exception. A top 3 defensive player, in his prime, is a force multiplier. It’s easier to let your scouts find replacements for the “good” players that’d you’d have to let go than to find a hall of fame talent.
@Peter_Bukowski Don't want to pay huge money for him but theres a case to be made if he's not crazy expensive. I think he'd be a good influence on the young WRs, he's got good hands and is a good red-zone/3rd down player, and he blocks his ass off.
@JuMosq Donta Thornton- Tenn, round 5. 6'5 205, 4.3 40, 1.51 10 yd split. 21.9 Yards per catch. Let him be your new MVS. Just need him to run like 3 routes.
@wischj@AaronNagler Holy shit there ARE other reasonable Packers fans on this hellhole of an app that can look logically at the big picture. Thought they were all extinct. 🫡
@mikerenner_ Should just get rid of MVP altogether since its basically just a QB award. Give one award to every player voted the best of their position group- QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, Edge, Off Ball LB, S, CB. Similar to college awards sans Heisman (another mostly QB award),
