@Praetor_Ex@4xCaliban An island which depends on naval power is worried when a neighbour suddenly starts a naval buildup? Shocking! You asked when Germany tried to starve Britain, there’s your answer. Not saying it’s wrong just saying it happened. Countries at war will blockade each other.
@RobertJones3464@Howlingmutant0@TerminusPest True they could play men. By internet do you mean playing against bots? I imagine it wouldn’t quite give the optimal practice for playing against human players such as you would find in a tournament.
@RobertJones3464@Howlingmutant0@TerminusPest It does affect their ability because ability is honed through competition. Since fewer women are interested the competition they face is less frequent and less varied.
@imperimnowtwrng@GrumpyHobbit22@TBrit90 We depend on imports, if they are attacked in the middle of the North Atlantic where is this ‘within 100 miles of the shore’? People are saying we need both because yes sometimes the RN will need to do littoral ops but sometimes it will need to do blue water ops.
@WritesCoco@ha12966@7celo It’s good that you’re a well adjusted person who can have tongue in cheek banter but in all seriousness surely you realise that cheddar cheese comes from… cheddar Somerset, the place the cheese is named after because that’s where it was invented.
@mindpsience@cjsnowdon It’s not about regulation it’s about sneaking in a ban. It’s also about hypocrisy, there are plenty of other unhealthy things which aren’t regulated, tobacco is an easy target because there are fewer smokers.
@Clint_Davey1 Pretty sure the UK invented it since there are stories of the British using it in N Africa before the US joined the war or deployed in force.
@MePeterNicholls @dissolutehomo @Layo_FH I just hope there’s more voters with common sense than voters like you. In unrelated matters, I have a bridge to sell and I’m wondering if you’re interested?
@ajd041@IlvesToomas@jteurope They may have done that but only because Eisenhower and his contemporaries in the 50s and 60s did their best to hinder European independence.
@CiarliniKoerner I see your points but I think it’s still a stretch to say the Italians won the battle of the convoys. While at times they were winning ultimately Britain and America ended up being secure enough with convoys to invade Italy
