Just a little broccoli

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

Recently had a dream that I was featured in a @MrBeast video, but instead of the usual content the challenges were as boring as possible. Like: "put on this T-shirt you have 60 seconds and will get as many dollars as there are second left" "Wow you did it, here are 23$"

@gaspoweredpick When I was a child I wrote down a list of ideas I had for the game, most of them are in the game by now (carpets, tnt minecarts, directional wood, ...)

But one of the ideas was: Rats, that will eat your food out of chests...

This lead to scientists adopting the convention of treating everything "glued together" by implied multiplication as one "block" that gets calculated first.

However in school most people learn PEMDAS and that multiplication and division are equal and done from left to right

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@steven112789 @GastonCinderela @MrTau09 @PicturesFoIder In the end it boils down to scientists being lazy and wanting to avoid writing too many parentheses, and since everyone uses this convention in science there is no confusion.

the confusion comes from the conventions people learned in school Vs the ones that are actually used.

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@steven112789 @GastonCinderela @MrTau09 @PicturesFoIder It's more convenient to write 1/2x instead of 1/(2x), especially because you can just write the other interpretation as x/2 instead.
Some people also use the "dot" multiplication to clarify if the product is meant to be below the fraction or after it (so 1/2x vs 1/2•x)

@TheMisterEpicYT Ocean monuments! Sure, they are a source for building material and sponges as well as an Armor template. But that's seldom worth the work you have to put into this dungeon.
It's time for chests with loot to be added to it, especially since water logged chests are possible now.

@standupmaths Dodecahedron and I are actually dating tho, so it definitely isn't platonic!

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@JasperBoerstra All the "Hotkeys" for inventory management, like shift clicking etc. Inventory without it would be painful!

@Schaffrillas I mean...

@YuckyTom Although the weird gender rules weren't there. And the fun was just to try to make the other person laugh by doing funny faces while meowing.

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@YuckyTom Actually pretty common game in Germany, played it in kindergarten often. Here it's called "armer schwarzer Kater" translated to "poor black cat" it's a pretty fun game.

@GoodReddit Guy had a haunted house in his attic and was like "nah can't be bothered to check it out" for 2 years...

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@GoodReddit The best thing: Part 1 was posted 2 years ago but OP didn't bother to provide more pictures of it for two years because "it's a real hassle to get in there, and also no good reason to go up there. But we had to check on some things so I though I might as well take some pics."

[Broccoli @Broccoliars]

@GoodReddit You people complaining about the occasional ad (that's even marked as such) don't remember the dark times... When every second post was a "sneaky" ad for a shitty shirt.
Glad that time is over.

@DisbussingFilm I have a scoop: Reportedly Season 2 of Wednesday will see the return of fan favourite family member Black Addams, portrayed by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!
