I think a new bull cycle is looming.

7 things I learned after multiple cycles. 🫡

1 - Many will be sidelined until we enter new highs.

Bear PTSD and disbelief are real. It's tough to adapt to a new trend after years up and winning or years down and losing.

People will be trapped in their emotions and only fomo in or give up the after 70-90% of the move is done.

Everyone suffers from bear PTSD. Accept and understand it, see the dangers, and think about how to overcome it.

For me, this means not getting lost in the lower time frames, not getting lost in trying to long/short every small move with what, in my opinion, will be the next cycle stage we'll enter.

If that market verges a disabled short button, more holding, and less short-term trading, I'll already start practicing this while still being cautious for a more extended period in phase 3. I want my mindset to be ready and match the next phase before it starts because things will move quickly, and you will be full of emotion.

2 - Plan upfront.
You should start creating a cycle plan today before the market is in up-only mode. Now you are still able to reason. When the market has been in an up-only manner for months, you will be full of emotions after making more money than you could have imagined.

Trust the person without emotions, not the person high on euphoria.

Start thinking about multiple scenarios, how to enter those, where you are wrong, and your exit strategy for the next cycle.

3 - Trading.
Many still around might have used the bear to learn to trade and use charts and can't wait to use their new skills in a bull market. Yet, there are a few downsides.

While the past years were great for short-term trades, the new market may not suit this style at some point.

Trying to outtrade a bull market will bring you unnecessary headaches and not the bull market results others simply holding will have. Using charts is good, but make sure that you zoom out whenever we are genuinely bull, and in the up-only mode, don't get trapped by lower time frame price action, and aim high.

It's one of my points to focus on this cycle. In the previous cycle, I still tried to trade too much. A good example was buying $SOL at the consolidation break out around $30, taking profit around $50 a fib level, to see it fly into 3 digits while its whole ecosystem was exploding and printing money.

Less is more.

4 - New > Old.
The winning assets from the previous cycle and their discounted prices will attract many in their second cycle.

This is a nasty market trap to make you miss the real bull market gains of the next cycle. Most older assets will never hit a new all-time high and do a complacency bounce at best, while the new and shiny projects print multiplies.

Why?
- People like new and shiny things.
- New trends will be born and steal the show. Defi, or Metaverse tokens in 2021, are good examples. Old projects will desperately attempt to catch up with a new roadmap but fail.
- People will have a nasty taste in their mouths from old projects.
- Old assets will have constant sell pressure coming from bag holders looking to sell break even.
- Old assets got a lot of resistance on the chart; self-fulfilling prophecy.
- Older assets will have more unlocks for investors/vcs while the newer ones still have a fresh vesting period (often).
- New coins will form around hot and relevant trends, AI, for example.

The top 50 on Coingecko, or Coinmarketcap, will largely change every cycle's top.

5. Go hard when it's uncomfy; scale out when you are winning big.
Your emotions will make you feel very uncomfortable having exposure at the start of the cycle and have you fomo in while feeling like never having enough crypto exposure in the last stage of the cycle.

You actually should go hard at the start and take it slow after a while of green. Therefore we should have our plan to enter and exit ready before it all happens.

6. Cash.
Besides your exit strategy, you will not die by taking smaller chunks of profit out along the way. No need to constantly take out a lot, but make sure to pay yourself after big wins.

7. Nothing is too big to fail, and nothing is forever.
This applies to exchanges but also to projects. Don't fall in love with projects or trust anything with your money in Crypto.

I don't care about what happens tomorrow, next week, or in a month. My focus has a longer time frame now.
