The seventh @BrockmanLab & @mmreally1 lab community volunteer event. Today we spent the morning at @kinshipmke working on their urban farm. Always good to give back and witness the amazing work being done in our community.
Another successful, enjoyable @BrockmanLab, @mmreally1 community volunteer event. Our labs spent volunteered with the family meal program at @RMHCmke. Giving back provides perspective and reminds us of all we have to be grateful for. Bonus: homemade☃️ hats brought many smiles.
yes, come and do a PhD @GlycoGriffith with me to understand gene regulation and host-interactions in order to design better treatments and vaccines against a range of bacterial pathogens. Only caveat is that male members of the lab must have a beard....

Another successful @BrockmanLab@mmreally1 community volunteer event. Our labs spent this beautiful morning cleaning up at our local Mitchell park. @CountyParks @KGMBinc
Great piece of work out of the @sciency_atack lab. Grateful to have been part of this work investigating the role of Lav phase variation on NTHi pathogenesis.
Finally published online - Zak's paper showing that an outer-membrane protein - Lav - from NTHi randomly switches expression, and is involved in host-cell adherence and biofilm formation https://t.co/U12LJOFohC 1/
latest preprint from PhD student Zak Phillips @GlycoGriffith@greg_tram with great collaborators @BrockmanLab@DocBrockman@AmyVJennison. We show that an NTHi autotransporter has a role in adherence/biofilms, and is more diverse than previously thought -https://t.co/0qUW2tTG2D

@APickrum Ha, It was intended to be a somewhat rhetorical question but that seems reasonable and a good target goal. As always, let us know if we can help. 👍
