Shalom did (is doing) with Lagos Life what I imagine Zuckerberg sunk billions of dollars tried to build and failed with the Metaverse.
Motion can never be forced.
“Light nigga, dark nigga, faux nigga, real nigga. Rich nigga, poor nigga, house nigga, field nigga. Still nigga. Still nigga.”
Look at you, exemplifying all their ideals and still not worthy.
Begging for basic human consideration in the year of our lord 2026.
It gives me extreme joy when I find decent Bukaterias that deliver their polling units all the time.
Tasty meals at unbelievable rates. But we know why those rates are unbelievable nowadays.
Anyway, make local meals affordable again.
@toluogunlesi ABU was there too. The ambitions led to the establishment of Centre for Energy Research and Training (CERT) in ABU. CERT had a thermal reactor.
The same way OAU has the Centre for Energy Research and Development (CERD). The last time I checked they have a particle accelerator.
Another malaise troubling Nigerians is brazen theft rolled up with emotional blackmail.
If as a driver, sourcing passengers through a ride-hailing app doesn’t pay you economically, go off the app and source your passengers independently. It is downright dishonest to use the app to get passengers, accept the ride upon seeing the price for the trip, only to turn around and try to induce the passenger to go offline or pay more for a trip that the price is fixed by the app.
Some people opt to use e-hailing apps probably because they are either bad at haggling, or they simply want to spare themselves the stress of bantering over price with the driver.
We enable too much nonsense. The passenger has his/her own problems, and should not have to deal with the driver’s greed laced with emotional blackmail. If the app doesn’t pay you, stop using it to source passengers.
A few days ago on Twitter, some “Nigerians” were flexing their refusal to teach their children their language and culture.
These kids will wake up one day and write world-acclaimed pieces of a place they have no idea of or attachment to.
Just pure vibes and misrepresentations.
@DSassQueen@thatsamybad Context matters here. A child of Nigerian immigrants who are ethnically Yoruba goes to Brazil to learn about the orishas, when they can just go to Ife, Osogbo, or any random Yoruba town in Nigeria. I blame the parents sha
Osun figuratively and literally flows in Nigeria.
