A Florida man is facing felony charges after authorities say he used a 99-cent trick to steal tens of THOUSANDS in trading cards 🌮👀

39-year-old Keith Wallis allegedly hit Target stores across multiple Florida counties roughly 75 times between July 2025 and February 2026. Investigators say he’d bring trading card bundles to self-checkout alongside taco seasoning packets, scan the seasoning instead of the cards, and walk out paying less than $1 for products worth far more.

Authorities estimate over $10,000 in stolen merchandise, which Wallis then allegedly flipped online for nearly $40,000. He’s now charged with organized retail theft, dealing in stolen property, and money laundering and could face up to 90 years in prison if convicted.
