I like the way Jimmy Rodgers is talking — but you better back it up. This only works if you WIN. If you start 2-6 you could lose the fans and maybe even the players.
Good day to get greedy and sweep these guys! Clubhouse morale and confidence has to be high winning the series and beating WS favorites. Let’s put an exclamation point on it!
9 months ago my brother Andrew (Andy) was walking me down the aisle at my wedding.
He is 37. A husband to Steph and Dad to 8-year-old Eli. He was healthy, active, and just started an exciting new chapter working for the Chicago Cubs.
Then everything changed.
Less than a year ago he started noticing weakness in his right hand. What first seemed minor turned
into months of testing and uncertainty until he got the diagnosis no one is ever ready for: ALS.
There is no cure. No treatment that stops it. It’s a disease you would never wish on your worst enemy.
My brother is one of the most selfless people I know. He showed up to every one of my football games. He once drove my ridiculous truck from Illinois all the way to Myrtle Beach without hesitation. Whatever I needed, whenever I needed it — he was there. No questions asked.
So when he needs us the most… no questions asked.
As a family we’ve partnered with American Friends of Sheba Medical Center to support the ALS research of Dr. Amir Dori. His work on miR-126 is at a critical stage. The scientific breakthrough is
extremely promising, but it needs immediate funding to validate, then move into a clinical trial.
Please stand with Andrew.
My brother. My best friend.

@BarstoolBigCat Did he really think we’d cheer for him when he: quit on his team and went to Florida during the season, milked his calf, showed 0 emotion and effort after the ASB, missed on middle middle vs Ashby in the NLDS, and most importantly signed a deal with the devil? No thanks. Boo him.
VERY loud round of boos for Kyle Tucker when he was announced pregame and when he stepped up to bat in the 1st inning.
Lotta Dodgers fans at Wrigley today, too. Couldn't tell if it was more Cubs or Dodgers fans booing.
Yeah, disagree 100%.
Holmes was THE fit. Do what you need to do to solidfy you roster.
A new Rojas can emerge every year. And that was my favorite prospect.
People pretending to be mad about giving up a guy everyone liked but forgot he existed for the last 3 months.
Cubs need to get better in the bullpen at the MLB level.
Good luck to Mo Baller. Hope he finds it again.
