@currys I have a faulty digibox which was a replacement for another faulty digibox. I've been offered a replacement but I can't see any reason that the 3rd won't have the same issue. I'd like a refund but am being told I can only have a replacement, which I'm not happy about.

@stalag13G @SarahWW @NickAnderegg Also "Usually have a mild illness" because of herd immunity. The vaccines are the reason serious illness/disability/death is more rare than it used to be.
Unfortunately we're going to have to let a lot of people get seriously ill now, to remind everyone why we need vaccines.

@Howell2913Terry @1goodtern It's been an ongoing battle since, I have mostly been vaccinated as a carer not for being asthmatic and my GP specifically told me I wasn't at higher risk than a non asthmatic.
But apparently I should still have the flu jab because I am in fact at higher risk as an asthmatic 🤷

@Howell2913Terry @1goodtern In the UK, asthmatics were only eligible for early vaccination if they had had 3 courses of oral steroids I think in the last year. At that stage many of us were still shielding and found we needed oral steroids less due to keeping ourselves healthy and were penalised for it.

It's wildly inconsistent.

@kathryn_revell @1goodtern I've been eligible for the last couple of years as a carer but not for asthma. I booked on the national system and had it at Boots this year as I'm now eligible as an asthmatic, although the GP surgery said I wasn't.

Staff and visitors show up on the wards without respirators, patients aren't tested before being admitted, there aren't air filters, all because "Covid is over". We have to prevent Covid in medical settings, even if we don't elsewhere.
