@countymendocino @TheWillitsNews A great day for a hike if you have the time. As much as I enjoyed the hike, I was frustrated because my original plan was Rockefeller, but after seeing someone with dogs off leash, I chose another route.

These trails are for everyone to enjoy and as much as we like to allow our dogs to be free of the leash, this is not always in the best interest of public safety. We are county. Please remember to bring AND use leashes, county leash laws are in effect here.

5. that in some industries men staying home with kids is still viewed poorly. The standards of who and how we provide care are weighed unfairly against women when we work but for men when they do. Standards and expectations need to be normalized.

@Marketplace 1. listened to interview with women talking about effects on their lives. Interesting also, outside of pandemic, b/c the effects extend beyond it. When my son was in hospital (OFTEN), my husband and I took turns being at hospital or home with my daughter.

4. and being as present as I could for my daughter either at home or away. If my husband took his work with him, they praised him and if he didn't spend time playing with our daughter, he was given a break and told he just had so much going on, he needed it. I will also say

@MendoSheriff @countymendocino Hello neighbors. A reminder that all trails within Brooktrails are non-motorized, meaning, 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers and dirt bikes are NOT permitted. I was running up Mossy Rock today and 3 dirt bikes passed me on Rockefeller. No.
