🌲 If Scotland’s trees could talk, what would they say? The Forgotten Woodlands project from NatureScot @ForestryLS + @ainmeanaite maps place-names which reveal historical woodland coverage. It could inspire a new generation of ecological restoration https://t.co/NkCPLnAeTL
As part of our #RestorYation Cairngorms project, we’re excited to collaborate with @NatureScot@ForestryLS and @ainmeanaite on their Forgotten Woodlands story map, being launched today!
We’re helping to ground-truth some of these place-names denoting woodland coverage.

@RyantheSlav @JasmineMWilkie @CairngormsCo@HuttonSEGS @AJuarezBourke Yes it's important to share the wealth of knowledge & insights @RyantheSlav beyond the workshop. So within @HuttonSEGS we'll be working on the best & quickest way to do this to keep the spark of co-creation with stories that have gone before (& those already sparked from it⚡️🎥)
Had a great time giving a presentation and participating in discussions with people working within ecological restoration as part of Cairngorms Connect's Gaelic Knowledge Exchange Visit at the Badaguish Outdoor Centre! @CairngormsCo@HuttonSEGS@BroonCooFilms @AJuarezBourke
Our project, #RestorYation Cairngorms, aims to increase the visibility of stories of #Cairngorms ecologies, people & ways of knowing that have typically been marginalised.

How do we perceive and share (and care for) the riches of the sea as we move away from oil? Presented a taster of @ruralis_no@HuttonSEGS film-based research from #Norway at conference with great discussion amongst scientists, NGOs, Ministers, policymakers & other marine citizens
Congratulations @Watts_SH for Highly Commended in the #NatureOfScotland Awards in the conservation science category for her work on restoring Scotland's mountain woodland👌💫
I got a fascinating glimpse into the world of @MontaneWoodland and the research of @Watts_SH when filming with her on the strikingly wooded slopes of @N_T_S#NTSBenLawers. She has been shortlisted for the @NatureofScot Conservation Science Award. See: https://t.co/MEusPv03Yk
Listen to @MerrynGlover introduce her new book, The Hidden Fires: A Cairngorms Journey with Nan Shepherd, published today. Find out more about this brilliant book here: https://t.co/5AcwnCTVM4

Looking forward to speaking at tonight's @kendalmountain Women in Adventure film session & panel discussion with our @adventuresynd film 'Should', an eye opener into teenage girls negotiating barriers to #mtb & sport https://t.co/b1u9usUqUh #adventure#cycling@HuttonSEGS
@cairngormsnews@HeritageFundSCO@HeritageFundUK @Sustrans @SustransScot our kids are begging us nearly daily to go to school/nursery on a cargo bike - we wish this project was starting in our village! Even selling our car wouldn't buy us a cargo bike so, community ways to access bikes sound very promising
Lucky me getting to work with this material & other moments of magic #connection@ElaineKordys creates in her astonishing & inspiring creative movement therapy
I leant the 2 women living in carehomes that I am working with on a new film with @DanceBase a camera each and some bulbs. They were encouraged to document them growing and what beautiful pictures I received. Enjoy! @LuminateScot@BoldScotland@Artsincarehomes@DementiaATrust
It was a great session
➡️ key questions: the industry seems to be changing, and COVID shows how quickly it can adapt, but will catering to the needs of crew who are carers be seen as too troublesome alongside covid measures? How do we ensure diversity is a priority?
