That's why you interns need to get off the road.
Honestly the current quality of MOs is so low especially from some 'universities'. Only those who upgrade from COs⏩MOs are 👍.

You guys even have a backlog of 3 years.
To reduce the appetite for MBChB, that payment has to stop.

So do you agree that you need us most? And why should you be paid when you're acquiring skills to build yo confidence?

Let that money be channeled to employing skilled labor. We can have doctors up to HCIII.

Govt should use that wasted money to improve health infrastructure, equip hospitals and employ more qualified doctors. Interns should focus on gaining skills rather than quick money. They even account for more mistakes in patient management.

If the govt focuses on implementing the 2022 scheme of service, when all the gaps are filled, we'll need no student interns. You guys should accept the govt decision and rather advocate for more uptake into public service.

For us as other cadres we are used to free internships. But for the MBChB interns, they think hospitals can't run without them.
Govt should use that money to fill all gaps for all cadres as stipulated in the 2022 scheme of service.

@GovUganda @GovUganda @KagutaMuseveni implement the non-taxed salaries for health workers.
Ensure local govts implement the 2022 scheme of service to bridge service gaps. This can be effected by increasing their wage bill.

Interns need us more than we need them.
Apart from Mulago, which other referral/regional hospitals feel the absence of interns. NONE
Universities should focus on building and equipping their teaching hospitals.

@faith_nabushawo @KagutaMuseveni @KagutaMuseveni most people are joining medicine because of that internship fee and ring-fenced positions favoring the medical doctors, sidelining key scientists like Laboratory Technologists who contribute to 70% of medical decisions. Don't implement that policy please.
