@TheAnfieldWrap The difference a prolific no.9 will make to our team can’t be underestimated - it will take us to 2 and 3-0 very quickly against the bottom 10 and make the difference in the tight games.
@AlexIsakLFC@TheRedmenTV (I know I shouldn’t reply to goading but…) Surely, we should play two 10’s in front of a double pivot given that’s its Newcastle away and they have a strong MF. Plus we’ve looked vulnerable in transition.
@TheAnfieldWrap I’m anxious but quietly confident. Surely, it happens after Friday’s match? The point has been lost that this is an utterly bold and brave move by the Reds and it will take some brinkmanship to pull it off.
@LukeEdwardsTele Any player who doesn’t want to play for a club, whether it be Newcastle or Liverpool, should be allowed to leave. He can’t be held against his will. The contract can be discharged by a market valuation.
Decent point last night v Forest. Deserved to win. We need to appreciate the competitive nature of PL this season: the teams around us will continue to drop points. Our draws have to be seen in that context: keep putting points on the board.
@TheAnfieldWrap@onepeloton This was a really interesting discussion. I was shouting at Trent on a few occasions more in the vain hope that he would snap out of it. He was a lightning rod for the crowd’s frustration but you expect your local players like him and Curt to be aggressive against Utd.
@_Dan_Austin It was notably quieter in the Upper Annie. The Kop seemed low volume. It didn’t feel like a big game in the build-up because of their lowly position. Tactically, he could have been smarter ie play a number 9, hit more medium to long balls, use free-kicks (as they did) etc.
@DistanceCovered I agree, Josh. It’s frustrating for fans and the blameworthy parties are opaque. I’d love all three players to give interviews, expressing their desire to stay.
