I started my nursing career some 15+ years ago in #Cameroon before relocating to the USA. I have continued the noble care profession through the years mostly working with adults with co-occurring #mentalillness and complex medical conditions in the past 10+ years #nursing

Fear of being seen as the "angry black woman" when all they truly want is to strongly advocate for their patients. Fear of being asked where they come from, when it has nothing to do with the work they do. And yes, fear of being asked where they learned English...
